Microsoft recommends turning on automatic updates and setup a certain install time. I highly recommend reviewing all updates before going through the install process. Especially if your running a network. Such as, terminal services (your ability to remote desktop). Point being said, review your updates especially your security patches.

Maintaining your computers is one of the more tedious tasks with owning a computer, but never the less a must if you want your computer to keep running in top condition. Just like you need to maintain your car, you need to do the same with your computer.
